Political campaigns for the 2024 US presidential election are using AI to create ads and outreach emails.
Tests have revealed that AI outperforms humans in content creation than content written entirely by human beings.
People are so confident in AI that a candidate even used an image of a person with 3 arms in their campaign (a mistake), and another campaign released fabricated images of Trump and Fauci.
Why we should care:
Experts are concerned that AI might turn elections into the 'Wild West' of campaign claims.
Even the CEO of OpenAI himself said that AI can produce disinformation.
It's best not to use AI-generated content directly. Always double-check before making it public.
