Apple has sued OpenAI, its hardware startup io Products, and two former Apple employees. Apple says they took confidential hardware information before leaving the company and even tried to avoid Apple's security checks.
The company also claims OpenAI used Apple's hardware ideas through partners without permission. OpenAI has denied the allegations. Apple is asking the court for money in damages and an order to stop the alleged use.
The bigger story is that OpenAI is building consumer hardware, while Apple is trying to protect the technology behind its devices. This case could shape the next big battle in consumer tech.
SK Hynix raised $26.5 billion in its Nasdaq debut, beating Alibaba's previous record. Demand was more than seven times higher than the number of shares available, and the stock finished its first day up 13%.
The company plans to use the money to build new chip factories, expand packaging, and invest in advanced chip equipment in the US.
The strong demand shows investors see SK Hynix as a key AI infrastructure company, not just a memory chip maker. That's largely because of its leadership in high-bandwidth memory (HBM), which is in high demand for AI.
OpenAI introduced ChatGPT Work, a GPT-5.6-powered AI agent that can complete tasks across your computer or phone. It can access your files, learn your writing style, and work on a project for hours without constant prompts.
It launches alongside a new desktop app that brings together ChatGPT, Work, and Codex in one place, available for free across all plans.
The bigger shift is that ChatGPT is moving from answering questions to completing entire projects on its own. It's a major step toward AI that works more like a teammate than a chatbot.
