Cognition AI Raises $400M at $10.2B Valuation
Autonomous-coding startup Cognition AI secured a $400 million round that values the YC alum at $10.2 billion, just six months after debuting its Devin “AI software engineer.” The deal will fund larger model training and an enterprise edition of Devin that can write, test, and ship code across major repos.
Expect a faster shift from code-assistants to end-to-end build agents. CIOs should benchmark Devin against GitHub Copilot and Lovable for unit-test coverage, security guardrails, and total cost before the 2025 budget lock-in.
Altman Says Bots Are Hollowing Out Social Media
OpenAI’s CEO told the All-In podcast that AI-generated accounts now “drown out” real users on major platforms, eroding trust and ad ROI. He predicted a near-term spike in bot detection costs and called for “proof-of-person” standards. The remarks follow Meta’s plan to unleash proactive chatbots across WhatsApp and Instagram.
Marketing CPMs may climb as networks filter fake engagement. Have growth teams audit paid campaigns for bot traffic and model 10–15 % budget shifts to channels with verified identity.
Google Gives Gemini Audio Skills And Multilingual Reach
Google added 100+ languages and voice input/output to Gemini in NotebookLM and its mobile app, plus AI-generated research reports that cite Drive files. Audio prompts run on-device for Pixel 9 and stream from the cloud elsewhere. Google says corporate DLP policies still apply to spoken commands.
Voice-first knowledge search could cut research time for sales and PMs. Test NotebookLM’s new audio briefings on quarterly reports and measure prep-time savings before rolling to the wider team.

Q: Where does AI deliver real value in 2025 business-scenario planning?

Correct Answer: Powering data-driven, scalable decision models
Reasoning: People pick gamification because fun, game-like drills seem helpful for planning. But real value comes from AI crunching tons of data and testing countless “what-if” scenarios fast, so powering data-driven, scalable decision models is the right choice.
