Prompt: Generate Email Subject Lines

If you’re sending a lot of emails (marketing campaigns, newsletter etc), you want to A/B test subject lines.

Why?

It’s an easy way to increase open rates.

I send this newsletter to thousands of people so it’s worth A/B testing subject lines (currently doing via Beehiiv’s internal system).

But to come up with these email subject lines, you can use ChatGPT’s help.

Let’s look at an example…

First, I provide context on what the newsletter and email is about.

This way, ChatGPT has that information already.

If I don’t provide that information, AI won’t ask me questions to learn more about it unless I ask it to ask me questions before responding (which you can do — I show you how here)

Basically, just provide some context beforehand.

The final “prompt” is: “Write 10 potential email subject lines for this email.”

You could be more descriptive and mention “effective” email subject lines or “shocking” email subject lines for more emotional results.
