Google is deepening its reliance on Marvell for custom AI silicon, with a new agreement that could give Google the right to buy up to 58.9 million Marvell shares for about $12.2 billion. The partnership covers components for Google's TPU ecosystem, including AI accelerators, networking, storage and near-memory compute.

With this, it’s evident that Google is spreading its custom-chip supply chain. Marvell joins Broadcom and other partners involved in Google's AI hardware, giving Google more options as its TPU infrastructure expands.

It’s interesting to see how custom silicon is becoming a strategic procurement decision for hyperscalers. Enterprises building large AI infrastructure should not just watch GPU availability, but also who controls the accelerators, networking and memory systems around them.

OpenAI is adding new safety measures for business customers using its AI tools. It plans on identifying risky behavior across interactions without requiring OpenAI to retain the underlying customer data. The move comes as enterprises increasingly use AI across multiple workflows, where risks can emerge from patterns of activity rather than a single prompt.

OpenAI says business data is not used to train its models by default, and customers have retention controls, including zero-data-retention options for eligible API use cases. The new safety approach is aimed at giving OpenAI more visibility into risk signals while maintaining data protections.

Amazon is expanding its drone delivery service, Prime Air, to almost 500 U.S. cities and towns by the end of 2026. That's six times bigger than what it covers now, which is 11 areas across seven states. Chicago, Atlanta, Cleveland, Syracuse, and Boise are getting the service soon. Amazon's drone chief said back in March the company expects to make 1 million drone deliveries this year.

The drones can carry packages up to 5 pounds and fly themselves using cameras and sensors without any supervision. Some deliveries arrive in under an hour. Amazon is still behind its rivals. Google's Wing has already made over 1 million deliveries, and Zipline has made 2 million across four continents.

Do not make unsupported claims about competitors.

### Gaps & Risks
Identify:
- Requirements we cannot currently satisfy

Keep the output concise, factual, and decision-oriented.

Prioritize information that could materially affect our probability of winning, revenue, customer value, risk, implementation feasibility, or strategic positioning.

Use the customer's language and terminology where appropriate.

Separate confirmed information from assumptions, recommendations, and interpretation.

Do not fabricate information to make the response appear complete. When information is missing, clearly identify what is needed and who should provide it.
