📢 Meta’s Secrets Revealed
Key update:
Meta has released a blog post explaining how the company uses AI for recommendations.
Instagram's AI recommendation process:
Content Collection: The system gathers photos and reels that have passed the company's quality check.
Past Actions: The AI considers how users have engaged with similar content in the past.
Ranking: The most similar content is pushed to the top of the Explore tab.
There will be 2 new features:
The “Why Am I Seeing This?" button will be added to Facebook and Instagram soon. This feature will show what previous actions Influenced the reel we received.
The "Interested" button will be added to the reels to see similar content.
Why we should care:
This transparency move by Meta will make the platform more personalized by allowing users to better control the content they see.
Advertisers can tailor their strategies to create more relevant ads that are more likely to be seen and clicked on.
