{{first_name | Leader}}, welcome back.
Enterprise AI took a turn toward smarter automation and tighter fiscal discipline yesterday, with several signals pointing to how teams will build in 2025. Here are today’s updates:
The only software development agents that work everywhere you do*
OpenAI fast-tracks 'Garlic' model
Gemini 3 Deep Think rolls out for Ultra subscribers
Anthropic CEO warns AI rivals of bubble risks from reckless spending.
Tools, resources, and a prompt to quickly see where your team spends too much manual time and which tasks can be automated right away. ⬇️
Available across interfaces including your IDE, CLI, and CI/CD, Droid lets you hand off real work like refactors, migrations, and incident response without changing your tools or workflow. Droid is the number 1 coding agent across every model.
The future is agent-first, with developers moving faster by orchestrating many agents in parallel instead of relying on incremental autocomplete.
OpenAI’s ‘Garlic’ Model
OpenAI has gone into full acceleration mode after Gemini 3’s benchmark jump. They’re now fast-tracking a new reasoning model called Garlic, which early internal runs show outperforming both Gemini 3 and Anthropic’s Opus 4.5 on coding and logic tasks while staying small enough to deploy cheaply. The interesting part is the architecture: it fixes earlier pretraining gaps and squeezes large-model depth into something far lighter.
This points to cheaper, smarter models coming sooner than expected. If Garlic ships early next year, it could lower inference costs and reshape how companies think about automation and vendor choice.
Gemini 3 Deep Think Rollout
Google has started rolling out Deep Think mode for Gemini 3, built for harder reasoning tasks. It leads several top benchmarks and handles advanced math, R&D-style logic, and multi-step scientific work. This version is hitting Google AI Studio, Vertex AI, and enterprise products next.
If your teams rely on tight reasoning (finance, engineering, analytics) this gives Google a stronger claim as a core model provider for 2025 architectures.
Anthropic CEO on the AI Bubble
Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei said parts of the AI industry are spending too fast and betting on data centers that may not be ready in time. He contrasted this with Anthropic’s slower, enterprise-focused approach and warned about a gap between model ambitions and actual infrastructure capacity.
For enterprises, this is more of a signal than a product update. It’s a reminder to choose vendors with stable plans and realistic timelines, especially for long-term AI programs.
