ChatGPT Becomes a Platform
OpenAI is turning ChatGPT from a conversational interface into a platform. At DevDay, it launched the ChatGPT Apps SDK, allowing developers to build and distribute apps that run directly inside ChatGPT.
Over the past few days, I’ve seen this update reframed as just another plug-in system, but it’s much bigger than that.
OpenAI is positioning ChatGPT as the layer where work happens and not just where questions are answered. If it succeeds, ChatGPT could become the front door to enterprise AI workflows.
How it fits into enterprise work
Installable apps inside ChatGPT: Teams can now “install” custom AI apps directly in ChatGPT, similar to extensions but built natively for AI interaction.
Seamless integrations: Apps can connect with CRMs, analytics dashboards, or productivity tools, keeping entire workflows in one place.
Workflow automation: Common tasks like lead scoring, reporting, or content generation can run end-to-end inside ChatGPT.
Low-friction adoption: Companies can start with prebuilt apps before scaling to deeper integrations, a faster path to real AI usage.
This update turns ChatGPT into more than a chat product.
It’s the start of an enterprise operating system built around natural language, where work, data, and automation live in the same space. The companies that treat this as infrastructure, not novelty, will be the ones shaping how AI is actually used day to day.
In other news
At DevDay, Sam Altman predicted “zero-person companies” fully run by AI agents and said he envies Gen Z builders who can freely experiment while he focuses on leading OpenAI.
Meta has hired Andrew Tulloch, co-founder of Thinking Machines Lab, in a high-profile AI talent move. Reports say the company previously explored acquiring the startup before shifting to direct hiring.

There’s a repo on GitHub that’s basically a masterclass on Prompt Engineering. And it’s free.
It explains how to design prompts, use CoT and few-shot techniques, and engineer context like a pro.
It’s the closest thing to a real AI degree that costs $0.

AI Integration Roadmap
When to use this?
You want to identify which business workflows to automate next quarter (and in what order) based on ROI and readiness.
You are an enterprise AI strategy consultant.
I will describe our company and current business functions below.
Your job:
Identify 5 workflows with the highest AI automation potential.
Rank them by impact (cost/time saved, accuracy, scalability) and ease of integration.
Suggest next actions for the top 2 workflows.
Output in a table format:
| Workflow | Impact | Ease | Next Step |
Correct Input:
Describe your company and business setup clearly. Add context like this:
“We are a SaaS analytics company with 400 employees. Our teams include sales, support, finance, HR, and product. Current tools: HubSpot, Notion, and Google Workspace. We want to use AI to reduce manual data entry and automate reporting.”
P.S. Get more such prompts in the Prompting Playbook (free for you)
Q: Where has AI already started to “take over” in your daily work?

Results: Over 37% of voters have been using AI for presentation drafts, while 27%+ use it for efficient inbox management.
