Qualcomm wants to buy Intel, another big chip company. This would be a huge deal, as Intel has been the leader in computer chips for a long time, while Qualcomm is known more for phone chips.
If Qualcomm can buy Intel, it would be a big win for Qualcomm. It would allow Qualcomm to expand beyond just making chips for phones.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) has announced plans to invest $10B over the next five years to build and operate new data centers in the UK. This investment is expected to create over 14,000 jobs annually in the local data center supply chain.
AWS believes that if UK small and medium businesses adopt cloud computing and AI technologies, the country could generate an additional $50 billion in economic value over the next five years.
Microsoft is partnering with Constellation Energy, the owner of the shuttered Three Mile Island nuclear plant, to revive the plant and use all of its power output to fuel Microsoft's data centers and AI operations.
Constellation Energy plans to invest $1.6 billion to restart the Three Mile Island reactor, which was shut down in 2019 due to economic challenges. Microsoft has agreed to purchase all the electricity for the next 20 years.
