Key Insight: Google has a new tool called MusicLM that can convert prompts into music. But there's a catch. This tool learns by listening to lots of other music, and sometimes it might copy parts from those songs. This has already caused some trouble with Jay-Z's music. Now, there are some important court cases happening that will decide if this is okay or not. I will keep you updated here.
Key Insight: In Europe, they've made new rules about how AI should be used. They want to make sure AI doesn't unfairly judge or score people based on their actions or characteristics. But don't worry, they still want cool AI stuff to be made, so they've set up special areas where AI can be safely tested before it's used for real.
Key Insight: Google's CEO, Sundar Pichai, has announced Gemini, a new AI model. It aims to rival OpenAI's GPT and improve Google's existing PaLM 2 model. Gemini is expected to be among the most compute-intensive AI models ever, with enhanced "memory and planning" capabilities. A release date hasn't been announced yet but you for sure know that when it is out, you’ll receive it here!
