NEWS UPDATES
Train Your AI for $450
The researchers at UC Berkeley's Sky Computing Lab have open-sourced a new "reasoning" AI model called Sky-T1 that can be trained for less than $450. Training advanced AI models capable of reasoning has typically cost millions of dollars in the past. Sky-T1 is competitive with an earlier version of OpenAI's GPT-4 model on several benchmark tests.
New Smart Glasses at CES
Halliday's new AI smart glasses were unveiled at CES 2025. Using the world's smallest optical module, the display is integrated into the glasses' frame, rather than the lens. This allows the glasses to be very lightweight at just 35 grams. it can do real-time translations, display notifications, and turn-by-turn navigation in the user's field of view.
Authorship: Identify the source of that phrase
Grammarly has created a new feature called Authorship that makes it easier to show where the text in a Google Doc comes from. When you turn on Authorship, it tracks as you write and can tell if you typed something yourself, copied it from a website, or copied it from an unknown source.
