Anthropic is closing a round of more than $30 billion. More than 500 clients already spend over $1 million annually, and the company is reportedly nearing its first quarterly operating profit.
The growth is being driven largely by Claude Code, which has seen strong traction in coding and automation. Demand has grown fast enough that the company is already hitting strain on the computing infrastructure.
This isn't survival funding. It's scaling capital. And the investor appetite makes sense when the revenue trajectory looks like this.
Google is building one unified system that turns prompts into video, images, and audio. The long-term vision goes further: images from audio, audio from video. It starts with a video first, but the direction is everything-to-everything.
What's worth noting is how Google is handling the authenticity problem. Videos created with Omni include SynthID, Google's digital watermark for verifying AI-generated content. Users also go through a dedicated enrollment process that includes recording themselves before accessing certain features.
Google is trying to make multimodal generation powerful and verifiable at the same time. That's the right instinct; whether it's enough is a different question.
The Android XR demos are starting to look genuinely usable. Navigation, live translation, notifications, and object recognition all in your field of view. Warby Parker and Gentle Monster are already involved on the design side.
The rough edges are still there though. Latency, fuzzy visuals, and moments where the experience breaks. The direction is clear: Google wants AI off the screen and onto your face, ambient and always available.
