Ilya Sutskever, a co-founder and the longtime chief scientist of OpenAI has departed the company.
Sutskever is leaving to work on a personally meaningful project, though he believes OpenAI will succeed in building safe and beneficial AGI. Replacing Sutskever is Jakub Pachocki, OpenAI's director of research, who has been effectively serving as chief scientist since November.
Google has announced that it is expanding its AI content watermarking and detection technology, called SynthID, to work across new mediums beyond just images and audio.
The SynthID system can now detect and mark AI-generated text and video content as well.
