AI smart glasses
A new pair of smart glasses called Frame, created by the startup Brilliant Labs provides "AI superpowers" by allowing the user to get translations, web searches, and visual analysis directly in their field of vision.
The Frame glasses are available for pre-order now at $349 and will start shipping in April. While other smart glasses like Google Glass and Meta's Ray-Ban glasses have failed to catch on.
AI that is too ethical
An AI chatbot named Goody-2 by an art studio called Brain satirizes how some AI systems avoid discussing certain topics due to ethical or safety concerns.
Goody-2 takes this avoidance to the extreme, declining to discuss or provide any details about literally any topic. This is meant to lampoon AI companies that may be too cautious in limiting what their models can discuss.
Copilot in the taskbar
Microsoft is testing new features for Copilot. Copilot will get an animated icon in the taskbar that indicates when it can help with copied text or images. It can currently summarize or explain the copied text.
Microsoft plans to further enhance Copilot and integrate it more into Windows apps like Notepad in the future.
