🤖 AI That Can Teach Itself
Key update:
AI is awesome, but training it can be a hassle. It requires massive amounts of data, resources, and time.
Now, things are changing with Google’s new RoboCat AI. This AI can teach itself new tasks without human supervision.
It was trained with only 100 demonstrations of a task performed by a robot arm. And then continued to train itself 10,000 times. (Watch the private demo).
So far, it has taught itself 253 tasks and the knowledge it has learned can be shared with other robots. Researchers say that in the near future, it can learn previously unseen tasks.
Why we should care:
Businesses can now automate more complex processes that previously required human labor.
This will save costs and also free up humans to focus more on creative and strategic tasks that cannot be fully automated with robots.
