🎷 The Grammys Rejects AI Songs

Key update:

  • So far, AI has done amazing things from writing articles to creating short films.

  • Remember the song AI created with The Weeknd‘s and Drake‘s vocals a month ago? It's been taken down (Spotify & Apple Music) due to copyright issues from Universal Music.

Why we should care:

  • The Grammys has updated the qualifications for nominations saying fully AI-generated songs are NOT eligible for awards.

  • BUT Artists can use AI in their songs — as long as there's enough artist contribution (>20%).

  • It is highly likely that a partially AI-generated song will win the Grammys next year.

Bardeen’s ChatGPT plugin was all over social media last week.

It allows us to create workflow automations and connect 30+ of our favorite apps (Gmail, Notion, Google Sheets and more).

But what if you can’t access ChatGPT plugins?

Well, you can actually use the same ‘text-to-automation’ feature inside the Bardeen app. See how easy it is to scrape data from LinkedIn:

MAIN COURSE

🤖 How Will AI Affect Us?

Key update:

  • AI has been with us for a while (202 days since ChatGPT replaced Wikipedia).

  • Despite what people's opinions are, we don’t know for sure what AI will do.

  • BUT McKinsey & Co. (one of the leading consulting firms), has released a research-backed report.

Why we should care:

  • The 68-page PDF says that AI will add $4.4T to the global economy every year.

  • It will add $660B to packaged goods, $110B to the medical industry and $340B to the banking industry.

🎙 AI Narrator For Audiobooks

Key update:

  • Fun Fact — The first audiobook was released in 1932 for visually impaired people!

  • Since then it has become a $5B market and will be $35B by 2030!

  • Here’s the hot news: Amazon, Apple, & Google want to use AI voices for narration.

Why we should care:

  • Production costs will be reduced.

  • Voice actors can rent out their voices (and get paid). Even the actual authors may be able to make money off of this.

  • AI won’t complain about reading a 100,000-word script in one sitting.

  • However, smaller voice actors may lose their work.

  • And people may even stop listening (because they don’t like AI as much as us).
