Smolagents is a new library that makes it easier to build "agents" - programs where language models can control the workflow and interact with the real world. These AI assistants can do more than answer questions - they can actually take actions in the real world, like looking up information or making plans.
Zuck Sold $2B Shares
Mark Zuckerberg sold around $2 billion worth of Meta stock in 2024 while Meta invests heavily in AI projects to improve user experience and internal operations. Zuckerberg is using the proceeds from the stock sales to fund his personal endeavors.
New Law in New York
A new law in New York will make the state government keep a close eye on how it uses AI. Under the law, government agencies in New York have to review and report on any AI software they use. They also can't use AI to make certain important decisions. The goal of the law is to set up some rules for how the state government uses AI.
