Complex architectures, no evaluation framework, security as an afterthought. These are the patterns that kill enterprise AI agents before they reach production.
This playbook reveals the five proven patterns from dozens of enterprise deployments, plus the three signals that identify which tasks need agents vs. traditional automation.
The missing piece for production? Secure agent authorization. WorkOS provides OAuth 2.1 for MCP servers plus enterprise auth features (SSO, SCIM, RBAC) that let AI agents access your systems safely.
Google Workspace Studio AI agents
Google just rolled out Workspace Studio, a new way to build Gemini 3–powered agents inside Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Chat. You describe a task in plain language and it turns that into a no-code workflow with steps, triggers, and app connections. It can automate email sorting, document handoffs, approvals, summaries, and multi-app processes without scripts or external tools.
This is a big shift. It lets non-technical teams build real automation inside the apps they already use, without waiting on engineering. Expect faster adoption, more bottom-up automation, and fewer parallel workflow tools in the stack.
Meta cuts metaverse budget
Meta is planning to reduce its Reality Labs metaverse spend by as much as 30 percent starting in 2026. The cuts hit Horizon Worlds, Quest hardware, and parts of the AR/VR org, removing several billion from annual burn. Investors are already reacting well because Meta is reorienting toward nearer-term AI products like smart glasses and wearables.
The message is straightforward: capital is flowing toward applied AI, not speculative metaverse bets. This shift will impact device strategy, partner roadmaps, and the kinds of hardware ecosystems that matter over the next few years.
Bloom’s “on-brand” asset generator
Bloom rolled out a new AI tool that reads your company website, learns your logo, colors, fonts, and visual style, and then generates ready-to-use branded assets. You get social posts, web graphics, and templates in seconds, without rebuilding brand kits or repeating the same design tasks.
This is a handy creative accelerant rather than a deep workflow change. It helps marketing and regional teams keep visuals consistent and ship faster, especially when design resources are stretched. It’s a small tool, but in high-volume environments, small tools often save the most time.
