OpenAI gives your next campaign a creative upgrade with ChatGPT Images 2.6. You can now turn prompts or photos into animated GIFs, tweak individual frames, adjust the speed, and save your favourite characters for reuse across campaigns. You can do it all directly in ChatGPT. And if you use AI image generation in your own tools, the new API models make image generation 50% faster!
On the security side, OpenAI launched GPT-6 Cyber for select Daybreak Red customers. Amongst its early results, the model helped generate and validate patches for 948 Linux privilege-escalation vulnerabilities, at the cost of about $1,000 per vulnerability. It also identified 81 high-severity Firefox flaws. Mozilla, Palo Alto Networks, Calif and Cisco are among its early users.
OpenAI is also teaming up with JPMorganChase to explore how Codex can support their enterprise in helping engineers build, security teams defend, and employees and customers benefit from more capable AI. Greg Brokman’s vision is to use advanced AI to protect the financial system at a level that wasn’t possible before. Get more interesting details here.
You know the weekly report nobody wants to do? Now Perplexity’s Teammates does it for you. Much like Grok Bot agents, once you set it for a role it keeps working without a fresh prompt each time. Apart from Projects, Skills and Memory, you can also add it to a Slack channel where coworkers can assign it work, and it follows up with people there.
Max Users can create a teammate for free for a limited time. It’s available on the web for Max subscribers at $200 a month (after the free limit), with mobile and desktop apps coming soon. You can also check out how it compares with OpenAI’s Dots and Claude Duet here.
Google’s Gemini Omni 1.2 Flash creates up to 15 seconds in one go, with steadier scenes, fewer jump cuts, smoother character speech and closer adherence to any reference images you upload. Social teams, ad creatives and founders who need quick product videos get the most out of it. Through the API, 720p costs $0.07 per second, 30% less than before and roughly $1 per clip.
You can create 15-second clips in Google Vids at no extra cost, while Flow is adding multi-turn scene editing. Google AI Ultra subscribers can also generate 15-second clips in the Gemini app, developers can try it in Google AI Studio, and businesses can use it through Gemini for Business and Google Ads. Watch the demo to see it in action.
Don’t miss this: Grok Bot can now make phone calls for you. You can follow the live transcript, jump into the conversation, or end the call anytime. To try it, open the Grok Bot app and ask it to make a call. Grok Bot is included with eligible paid plans, including X Premium, Super and Ultra, but phone-call access is still rolling out and regional availability hasn’t been confirmed. Get more details here.
