Granola is that — and a lot more. Most AI note-takers simply transcribe what was said in a meeting and send you a summary afterward.

Granola is an AI notepad. That difference matters. It still transcribes for you, but it’s also a blank canvas for you to jot down your own notes.

When the meeting’s done, Granola uses your notes to generate even better summaries and action items, which you can edit as much as you'd like. Think of it as a super-smart notes app.

NEWS UPDATES

OpenAI turns off ad-like app suggestions

OpenAI pulled the plug on ChatGPT’s app suggestion feature after users began seeing prompts from Peloton and Target that resembled ads. The team clarified that nothing was paid; the suggestions came from an automated index built in October. Mark Chen admitted the feature missed the mark and said the focus is shifting back to accuracy, trust, and overall model quality.

For enterprises, this is a useful signal. OpenAI is clearly prioritizing stability and reliability over new monetization experiments, which should make 2026 planning easier. Better outputs and tighter guardrails matter more than any app-layer polish.

LinkedIn pushes back on AI job fears

LinkedIn’s Sue Duke addressed the “AI kills jobs” narrative and shared fresh platform data showing the opposite. Companies adopting AI are actually hiring more in business development, sales, and tech-enabled roles as they try to capture new growth. AI literacy and prompt tooling continue to be among the fastest-rising skills across industries.

She also said human skills still anchor the hiring market. Communication, problem-solving, and leadership remain essential even as tools get smarter. For enterprise leaders planning next year’s teams, the message is simple: AI changes roles, not headcount.

OpenAI expands People-First AI Fund

OpenAI awarded 40.5 million dollars to 208 nonprofits working in education, healthcare, climate, and civic impact. The fund supports groups deploying AI in practical, on-the-ground ways instead of pushing pure research, with OpenAI offering technical help alongside the grants.

For enterprises, this isn’t a product update, but it tells you how OpenAI wants to shape its long-term narrative. Expect more emphasis on responsible AI and broader access, especially as regulation and public scrutiny increase.
