NEWS UPDATES

OpenAI launched Lockdown Mode, a security setting that restricts tool access and disables live web requests to reduce prompt injection and data exfiltration risks. It is available for Enterprise, Education, Healthcare, and Teachers plans, with admin-level controls and Compliance API logging for audit visibility.

Anthropic introduced Sonnet 4.6 as its new default model. It includes a beta 1 million token context window and improved performance across reasoning and software engineering benchmarks. The expanded context allows processing of large codebases, long contracts, and extensive research documents in a single session.

Peter Steinberger, creator of the open-source OpenClaw AI assistant, joined OpenAI to work on next-generation personal agents. OpenClaw focused on coordinating agents and automating real-world tasks across practical workflows.
