EU helping AI startups

The EU has a plan to support AI startups by giving them access to powerful supercomputers to train their machine learning models. An early pilot of this plan involved the French AI startup Mistral. However, the EU realized that AI companies need more guidance on how to effectively use supercomputers, which are very different from the dedicated GPU hardware most are used to.

So the EU is setting up "centers of excellence" to help AI startups develop algorithms tailored for supercomputers.

New Meta’s AI in AWS

Amazon SageMaker JumpStart now offers Meta's Llama Guard model through its platform. Llama Guard is a large language model developed by Meta that is designed to detect potentially risky or offensive content.
