GPT-3.5 > Gemini Pro?

Google promoted Gemini Pro as the most powerful chatbot available. However, a study by researchers at Carnegie Mellon University found that Gemini Pro's performance on various language tasks was actually worse than OpenAI's older GPT-3.5 model.

Google disputes the study's findings and claims their own internal research shows Gemini Pro and an upcoming model called Gemini Ultra perform better than OpenAI's offerings.

Apple’s open-source AI

Apple and researchers from Cornell University released a new open-source ML model called Ferret in October. Ferret allows users to draw regions on images and query elements within those regions, identifying objects and using them in queries.
