Google’s Answer To Misinformation

🔑 Key Updates:
Google’s new tool - SynthID, watermarks AI-generated images.
In July, the White House collaborated with OpenAI, Google, and Meta to develop watermarking tools to prevent misinformation.
SynthID uses AI to watermark AI images. The best part is, it doesn’t affect image (at least humans can’t notice).
Watermark can still be detected even if the image is screenshotted or edited.
💰 Why We Should Care:
It’s the first AI giant to launch a watermarking tool after the White House pledge publicly.
This watermarking can help artists claim copyright and prevent misuse of their work.
This tool can effectively stop image misinformation.
