Google's DeepMind has developed an AI system called SAFE (Search-Augmented Factuality Evaluator) that can evaluate the factual accuracy of text, especially long-form text generated by large language models.
SAFE breaks text down into individual facts and uses Google Search to check if each fact is supported. In tests against human raters, SAFE matched human ratings 72% of the time and was found to be correct in 76% of disagreements.
X.ai has announced an upgraded version of their AI model called Grok-1.5. This new model is expected to power the Grok chatbot on X. They say Grok-1.5 shows improved performance over the previous Grok-1 model on math and coding benchmarks, scoring higher and handling more complex tasks.
Grok-1.5 will soon be available for early testers on X and may introduce new features.
Microsoft has introduced new safety tools for AI models hosted on its Azure cloud platform. The tools include Prompt Shields to block malicious prompts, Groundedness Detection to find hallucinated responses, and safety evaluations to assess vulnerabilities.
They aim to help customers avoid unwanted responses from generative models. The tools can automatically detect issues or customers can customize the filtering.
That’s all.
Stay curious, leaders!
