Grok 3

Elon Musk's AI company, xAI, has released Grok 3. Elon claimed Grok 3 to be an order of magnitude more capable than the previous Grok 2 model, with expanded training data that includes court case filings. It will initially be available to subscribers of X's Premium+ tier, with a new "SuperGrok" plan that also offers additional reasoning and DeepSearch capabilities.

HP Bought Humane

Humane, the hardware startup behind the $499 AI Pin, is shutting down the product after HP acquired most of its assets for $116 million. Humane will discontinue sales of the AI Pin immediately and stop supporting it on February 28th, 2025, rendering it unusable.

Meta’s First AI Conference

Meta has announced that it will be hosting its first-ever developer conference dedicated to generative AI. Called LlamaCon, the conference will take place on April 29. Meta plans to share the latest updates on its open-source AI developments to help developers build new applications and products.
