Welcome back {{First Name| to Prompts Daily}}.
This Sunday, I want you to sit back, relax, and enjoy this deep dive into my AI-powered note-taking system.
We’ll cover these 5 use cases that you won’t want to miss:
Product requirement document (PRD) formatting
Meeting notes summary
Cold outreach
Making social media captions
Writing code
My workspace lies in Notion. It's a free app that combines all my to-dos, notes, outlines, tutorials, and team documents.
Let’s get into it 👇
🧠 Note: New to Notion? You can download it for free here. It’s loved by 30M+ users around the world (and we love it too 🙂)
How to add Notion AI
Firstly, to access Notion AI, you need to add it to your free Notion plan here:
Done? Now let’s get into each use case one by one.

1. Product requirement document formatting
A product requirement document (PRD) is like a blueprint for building a product.
It gives your full team the context they need to stay on the same page.
It lets me create documents that are up-to-date, and easy to read and understand (even for non-technical members of the team)
Notion AI helps me do all of this.
Here’s the prompt that I use to create PRDs:
You are adept at creating comprehensive Product Requirement Documents (PRDs). Your task is to draft a PRD for a ride-booking app designed specifically for users in London, United Kingdom. The primary objective of this app is to offer a seamless experience for individuals seeking to book rides as an alternative to public transport, especially when employers cover their commuting expenses. Context: The app’s target audience includes those who wish to navigate around London without relying on public transport, potentially due to employer-sponsored ride benefits. Here’s the result:

2. Meeting notes summary
Keeping track of meeting notes is the worst.
They get lost all the time. Sometimes you take messy notes (and they never get turned into tasks or objectives). It’s tough out there.
Most of all - it's a task itself to convert meeting notes into objectives.
Well, this task can easily be done by Notion AI:
To generate a summary of meeting notes (and generate accurate tasks and objectives, I simply write this prompt:
You are proficient in processing and summarizing meeting notes, extracting action items, and drafting succinct follow-up emails. Your task is to take the meeting notes provided to you and produce a concise summary. Additionally, identify all the action items from the notes. Finally, craft a personable follow-up email to the individual with whom the meeting took place, incorporating the summary and action items.
Context: The notes are from a professional meeting, and the tone of the follow-up email should be polite, concise, and engaging, ensuring the recipient understands the key takeaways and next steps. This prompt does the trick. Here’s the result of a meeting I recently had:
Trust me - this one will save you a ton of time. All my meeting notes lie in Notion and the right person has access to the right meeting notes (easily done in the workspace).

3. Cold outreach
This one is a game-changer!
Writing great outreach emails that get read is not easy.
Many times there are some things that need to be repeated.
Let’s see how Notion AI does the heavy lifting for me while adding a pinch of personalization to each email as well.
Right in my Notion Workspace, Using Custom Autofill, Notion creates an email for me. Here’s the prompt that I use:
You are proficient in creating compelling outbound sales emails. Your task is to draft an email directed at founders and CEOs of large companies with over 1000+ employees. The goal is to introduce and pitch them to our CEO coaching service and membership community. Context: The recipients are busy leaders of sizable organizations. The email must be concise, respectful of their time, and effectively communicate the value proposition of our CEO coaching service and community. Here is an example of what the personalized result looks like:
Here are a couple of one-liner prompts I’d use to improve the email:
“Make the email shorter and concise”
“Make the email slightly less professional”
“Remove corporate jargon from the email’
The short prompts above will help you tailor the messages to perfection.

4. Making social media captions
This one is a simple one.
Your social media manager has a lot of posts to write captions for. They need this prompt.
Create a new Notion page. Type this prompt:
You are skilled in crafting engaging captions for Instagram posts. Your task is to draft a compelling caption for an Instagram post, keeping in mind the details of the image or its content, which will be provided. Context: The Instagram post will be [describe the image or its content]. The caption should resonate with this theme and capture the essence of the post.Based on my prompt, Notion AI generates a caption.
Note:
The prompt hasn’t specified 3-4 hashtags. But the result has included it. Instagram hashtags still work. On the other hand, if you ask AI to write X (formerly Twitter) posts, it will also include hashtags. Hashtags on X do NOT work. This is where a little specific context is useful when creating social media posts.

5. Writing code & Documentation
This one is for all the engineering teams out there!
Coding is hectic.
You've got deadlines looming. Projects stacking up. And that documentation? It's nowhere near done.
But here's where Notion AI steps in.
It can write code and even understand it.
Let’s say you want to document a script you wrote. You’d like to store it externally in your docs for your entire engineering team to be able to see it.
Simply use this prompt:
I have written this piece of code. Please clearly document what this piece of code does (it's function) in our project. Your output should match professional, technical documentation. Here are some other ways that Notion AI can help you write code more productively:
Generate code snippets
Check your syntax
Refactor your code
