{{first_name | Hey}}, welcome back.

In today's issue, we cover ChatGPT’s new ability to read and control Chrome tabs, how Anthropic is making it easier to run multiple coding sessions simultaneously, and US’s most capable open-weight AI model.

These are today's updates.

  • ChatGPT’s Chrome extension can now read and work your tabs

  • Claude Code’s desktop app adds nested sessions for parallel work

  • Meta releases Muse Spark Open, its first open-weight Muse model

  • Tools, jobs, resources, and last issue’s winning prompt ⬇️

Spotlight: OpenAI

Building an AI prototype is easy. But getting it to work reliably within a real business takes more work. OpenAI is hosting a live discussion about its Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) team. This discussion gives you an insight into how they learn a customer’s business and turn AI capabilities into reliable systems. The conversation also covers what helps someone thrive on the team, followed by an audience Q&A.

What you'll learn:

  • How OpenAI engineers understand customer needs and business workflows.

  • What it takes to move AI projects from experimentation to deployment.

  • What forward-deployed engineers do day to day.

  • How to build a career at the intersection of AI and enterprise engineering.

Meta released Muse Spark Open, an open-weight model for coding and agents with 816B parameters (42B active) and a 1M-token context. Days earlier, Meta launched Muse Wonder, and Wonder Full for Muse Code subscribers. Since Spark Open runs on in-house hardware, it gives more control over data. Weights are free and need about four high-end GPUs to host. Safety testing is yours on your own servers, and the license requires a “Built with Muse Spark Open” label.

You can run Muse Spark Open on supported NVIDIA or AMD GPU setups or access it through hosted AI providers. Running it locally still requires substantial hardware. See supported setups.

Here’s how you can get it on Hugging Face.

OpenAI updated its ChatGPT Chrome extension. In Chat, ChatGPT reads your open tabs to answer questions. In Work, it can send messages, fill forms, download files and group tabs. It runs in the background and asks before using new sites, history or files. It’s free to install, but OpenAI’s docs don’t say which plans get Work. It helps in comparing vendor prices across tabs and fills out routine forms.

Before you try it, close tabs with client data first and skip “Allow for all sites”, which OpenAI marks as Elevated Risk. You can set site preferences under Settings > Computer Use. See what ChatGPT can do in Chrome.

Anthropic updated the Claude Code desktop app to run many sessions side by side. This means a main session can hand work to nested sessions that report back, so its transcript stays short. You can save setups for folders, SSH hosts or the cloud, while the sidebar shows which sessions are working or waiting.

Every session counts toward your usage, so you’ll need a paid plan. It’s useful for tackling multiple coding tasks in parallel. Since sessions can overlap on files, give each a worktree and review before merging. Claude Code summarizes long idle sessions, so reread them for gaps. See how it works.

Don’t miss this: Wharton and GBK’s 2026 AI adoption report says 58% of companies with a new chief AI officer see strongly positive returns, against 8% with no such role. Growth-tracking companies report 35% strong returns, efficiency-only ones 13%. 78% of leaders say AI training is adequate, and 56% of employees agree.
