OpenAI and Arizona State University have announced a partnership to bring OpenAI's generative AI technologies like ChatGPT and DALL-E to ASU for various educational purposes.
ASU’s few specific initial uses include an AI tutor for courses, writing assistance for composition classes, and "creative buddies" to help study topics through activities like singing about biology.
Meta’s big AI reorg
Mark Zuckerberg has decided to reorganize Meta's AI research team, FAIR, so that it now sits within the company's product organization and reports to the chief product officer, Chris Cox, rather than the CTO.
This change is meant to elevate the importance of AI research and ensure a more coherent research strategy and roadmap focused on building artificial general intelligence (AGI)
AI in TVs
Amazon is rolling out an AI image generator feature on its Fire TV devices. The feature allows users to create images using natural language prompts spoken to Alexa on the Fire TV remote.
It is powered by Amazon's Titan image generator model and was initially available on the Fire TV Stick 4K Max and Fire TV Omni QLED Series in the US.
