OpenAI’s new models & reduced prices
OpenAI has dropped prices for its GPT-3.5 Turbo and GPT-4 Turbo AI models, reducing input cost by 50% and output by 25%.
OpenAI made the new GPT-4 Turbo model less "lazy". It has also released new versions of these models with fixes and improvements.
Investigation of AI companies
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has launched an inquiry into Amazon, Microsoft, OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google's parent company Alphabet.
Specifically, the FTC is investigating recent multi-billion dollar investments and partnerships between these companies. The FTC wants to know if these deals could hurt competition or innovation.
