OpenAI’s New Launch

OpenAI has launched Responses API, which allows companies to develop custom AI agents for web searches, file scanning, and task automation. OpenAI is also releasing an open-source Agents SDK to help developers integrate and monitor their AI agents.

The goal is to move beyond flashy AI agent demos and provide enterprises with more practical, impactful tools.

Meta’s Own Chips

Meta is reportedly developing its own custom chip for training AI systems, rather than relying solely on hardware from companies like Nvidia. The new chip is designed specifically for AI workloads and was manufactured with Taiwanese firm TSMC.

Meta has previously used custom chips but only for running AI models. Now testing a "small deployment" and plan to scale up production if the pilot is successful.

Salesforce’s $1b in Singapore

Salesforce plans to invest $1 billion in Singapore over the next 8 years. The money will be used to help local companies and train workers, especially in AI. Salesforce will also expand its cloud computing services in Singapore to follow local data privacy laws.
