🗞️ Closing Updates
OpenAI vs Google
OpenAI is reportedly planning to announce a new AI-powered search product on Monday, just a day before Google's annual I/O conference. This search feature will be integrated into ChatGPT and will include citations, potentially posing a threat to Google's dominance in the search industry.
The move comes as OpenAI has allegedly been trying to hire Google employees to work on its own search offering.
Apple’s AI Chips
Apple plans to use its powerful M2 Ultra and future M4 chips for its generative AI features. The company will offload complex AI queries to these chips running in its own data centers across the United States, including a new facility in Waukee, Iowa.
This approach will allow Apple to keep simple AI tasks processed on-device while M2 Ultra on cloud servers runs more complex AI queries.
Traffic Control
The state of California is partnering with five companies (OpenAI, Google, Anthropic)to develop and test generative AI tools that could help improve public services.
Over the next six months, the state will internally evaluate these AI tools, which have the potential to reduce traffic, make roads safer, and provide tax guidance.

That’s all.
Stay curious, leaders!
