Simulate A Job Interview

How to have an intellectual conversation with ChatGPT

Welcome to day 3 of the newsletter. You can find the previous issues here.

PS. Sam Altman, the founder of OpenAI, replied to my email yesterday.

How cool is that?

Let’s get into the prompt for today… 👇

Prompt: Simulate a Job Interview

This is not restricted to job interviews.

You can simulate a question-answer conversation with ChatGPT about anything.

Let’s get into the job interview example…

Prompt showing a job interview simulation

This should help you predict some specific scenarios that you may come across in an actual conversation or interview.

Honestly, this could be a great software tool for people looking for jobs (could sell to companies that help with finding jobs and hiring like Indeed.com).

If you’re interested in building this further (and better), let me know by replying to this email.

Try It For Yourself

Copy the prompt below:

Simulate a job interview for a product manager role at Airbnb. Context: I am looking for this job and you are the interviewer. You will ask me appropriate questions as if we were in an interview. I will respond. Only ask the following question once I have responded.

If you want to go a step further, you can ask ChatGPT to assess your tone and confidence level.

For this, you have to literally type as fast as possible (and whatever comes to your mind first).

You cannot edit.

These are your raw thoughts and what you would say (exactly) in an interview.

Full Prompt:

Simulate a job interview for a product manager role at Airbnb. Context: I am looking for this job and you are the interviewer. You will ask me appropriate questions as if we were in an interview. I will respond. Only ask the following question once I have responded.

For each response from me, add a section in your response called "confidence level" where you provide the confidence level in my response and suggest strategies to improve that level.

You don’t have to pay (it’s a free newsletter). I just want to know:

If you had the money, how much has this one email helped you?

How much would you pay for this email?

This poll is here to collect feedback and improve this daily newsletter for you. Instead of asking "did you find this valuable", I'd like to know how much you'd pay for this email if you had the money.
