Slack launches built-in AI agent for enterprise users
Salesforce has rebuilt Slackbot into a full AI agent powered by Anthropic’s Claude, now enabled by default for Business+ and Enterprise+ customers. The agent can search internal Slack data, summarize projects, draft content in a user’s voice, analyze files, and schedule meetings using context from conversations, documents, and connected tools like Google Drive and Salesforce. Slack also positions this agent as the foundation for future third-party agents through Agentforce, making Slack a central surface for agent-driven work.
Signal founder launches Confer, an end-to-end encrypted AI assistant
Moxie Marlinspike introduced Confer, an open-source AI chatbot built with end-to-end encryption by default. Conversations are unreadable to the platform, encryption keys stay on user devices via trusted execution environments, and no chats are logged or used for training. Confer is designed to handle sensitive conversations without creating new data exposure, setting a high bar for privacy-first AI tools.
Apple launches Creator Studio, bundling pro creative apps with AI features
Apple unveiled Creator Studio, a $12.99/month subscription that bundles Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, Pixelmator Pro, Motion, Compressor, and MainStage. The release adds new AI features across apps: Final Cut Pro introduces Visual Search to find clips by describing moments, Keynote can generate presentation drafts from text outlines, and Numbers adds Magic Fill for pattern-based table completion. The bundle also includes premium templates and a new Content Hub across Keynote, Pages, and Numbers.
