Update on Tesla’s humanoid robot
Tesla has unveiled its latest prototype humanoid robot called Optimus Gen 2. It is 30% faster, 10 kg lighter, and has sensors on all fingers. It can perform tasks like holding and manipulating eggs without breaking them.
However, the robot is still a non-production prototype, and many challenges remain before humanoid robots can widely replace human labor as Tesla envisions.
AI tax filing assistant
H&R Block has launched a new chatbot called AI Tax Assist that is integrated into their DIY tax filing software. It allows users to ask questions about tax rules, exemptions, and other issues.
The AI was trained using H&R Block's library of tax laws and refined with help from their tax professionals. It aims to keep users on H&R Block's platform when seeking tax answers instead of searching online.
OpenAI’s deal with news channels
OpenAI has signed a deal with German publisher Axel Springer to license their news content for training AI models. This follows a similar deal with The Associated Press. As part of the agreement, Axel Springer content will be included in OpenAI's ChatGPT conversational model.
Users will see summaries and links to paywalled Axel Springer articles. In return, Axel Springer will receive payments from OpenAI.
