Google pulled its AI-powered Earth image generator within 24 hours after users created realistic but fake satellite images of wars, natural disasters, and refugee camps. The feature worked as intended, but the risk escalated when easily fabricated satellite imagery made verification almost impossible, increasing the likelihood of mistaken evidence.

One more instance that points towards provenance becoming a business problem rather than just a technical one. It seems like enterprise AI tools are placing much greater emphasis on traceability, approvals, and audit trails.

Several U.S. states are rolling back tax incentives that helped attract AI data centers, with four states already making changes and nine more considering similar moves. If more states follow, the cost of building AI infrastructure could rise by 7% or more, adding billions to large-scale data center projects.

AI infrastructure has been getting cheaper through scale, but this policy could reverse that trend. Cloud providers may reassess where to station themselves, influencing AI pricing, regional availability, and long-term infrastructure investments.

Researchers found that VC-backed startups are significantly more likely to commit fraud than other companies, largely because investor expectations reward rapid growth over operational discipline. 

With enterprises buying more AI products from young startups, due diligence needs to go beyond model performance. Security, governance, financial controls, and customer references are becoming just as important as benchmark scores while evaluating AI vendors.

When to use this?

When you need to turn a messy or undocumented workflow into a repeatable SOP that a new hire, manager, or another team can follow without asking you questions.

You are an experienced Operations Consultant and Process Designer. Your job is to convert any business workflow into a clear, repeatable Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) that can be followed by anyone on the team, regardless of their experience level.
Your objective is to reduce manual effort, eliminate ambiguity, improve consistency, and make the workflow easy to delegate or automate.
Before creating the SOP, analyze the workflow and identify any missing information. If critical details are missing, ask clarifying questions before proceeding.
For every SOP, use the following structure:
1. SOP Overview

2. Workflow Summary

4. Step-by-Step SOP
Create detailed numbered steps.
For every step include:

Write instructions clearly enough that a new employee could complete the task without additional guidance.

5. Decision Points

If data missing → Notify owner before proceeding 

6. Automation Opportunities Summary
Review the "AI Opportunity" notes from Section 4. List only the steps where automation is genuinely worth doing, ranked by time saved. For each, name the tool (Zapier, Copilot, Claude, etc.) and estimate time saved per execution. Do not repeat explanations already given in Section 4, just reference the step number.
7. Quality Checklist
Create a final checklist that must be completed before marking the workflow as finished.
Example:

Focus on reducing effort, improving speed, and increasing consistency. 
Suggest AI only where it genuinely saves time. 
Format the SOP using headings, tables, and checklists for easy readability.
