CLOSING UPDATES

The Anthology Fund

Menlo Ventures, a prominent Silicon Valley VC firm and major investor in Anthropic, is teaming up with the AI company to launch a new $100 million "Anthology Fund."

The fund will invest in pre-seed, seed, and Series A AI startups, providing them with $25,000 in credits to use Anthropic's AI models.

Investigation of Microsoft

Microsoft's investment in the AI startup Inflection AI is facing an antitrust investigation by the UK's Competition and Markets Authority.

Regulators are scrutinizing Microsoft's hiring of a significant number of Inflection AI employees, as they are concerned that big tech companies are strategically investing in AI startups to control the development of this emerging field and stifle competition.

Anyone to learn anything

Andrej Karpathy, a prominent figure in the AI field who previously worked at Tesla and OpenAI, has launched a new startup called Eureka Labs. The company aims to apply AI to create teaching assistants that can guide students through educational content.

Eureka Labs envisions these AI assistants working alongside human teachers to enable “anyone to learn anything”.

That’s all.

Stay curious, leaders!
