Moonshot AI released Kimi K2.5, an open-source, natively multimodal model that the company says matches or outperforms leading proprietary models across coding and video reasoning benchmarks. A key feature is Agent Swarm, which allows coordination of up to 100 parallel sub-agents and more than 1,500 tool calls, reducing execution time by up to 80 percent in complex tasks.
OpenAI launches Prism, a free AI workspace for research
OpenAI introduced Prism, a GPT-5.2-powered LaTeX editor built for scientific and technical research. Available free to all ChatGPT users, Prism supports drafting papers, managing citations, summarizing literature, and converting whiteboard photos into formatted equations and diagrams. OpenAI reports ChatGPT already handles 8.4 million weekly queries across advanced science and math topics.
Yahoo launches Scout, an AI-powered answer engine
Yahoo released Scout, a free AI search experience that combines conversational answers with prominently linked source results. Scout is powered by Anthropic’s Claude, Bing’s open web APIs, and Yahoo’s internal knowledge graph covering more than 1 billion entities and 500 million user profiles. The product is now rolling out publicly.
