OpenAI is trying for $150B

OpenAI is reportedly raising $6.5 billion in new funding at a $150 billion valuation. This makes OpenAI worth more than over 88% of Fortune 500 companies, including major firms like Goldman Sachs, Uber, and BlackRock.

The funding round will be led by Thrive Capital, with investments also expected from Microsoft, Apple, and Nvidia. OpenAI plans to use the new capital for computing power and other operational costs.

Adobe: Text → Video

Adobe is going to release new features that can produce video clips from text descriptions or still images. This builds on their Firefly video model.

The text-to-video and image-to-video features will initially be available in beta as a standalone Firefly app later this year before being integrated into Adobe's platforms.

Google has added an “Audio Overview” feature to its NotebookLM AI note-taking app to generate audio podcasts discussing the research and documents you've compiled.

The app uses Gemini AI to create "lively" discussions between two AI hosts who will summarize the material, make connections between topics, and banter back and forth.
