Microsoft’s $100K subscription
Microsoft Business Copilot provides access to Microsoft's Copilot AI within Microsoft 365 business products like Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
The subscription costs at least $108,000 per year for companies to access. This high price point suggests the tool is primarily aimed at large enterprises with more than 250 employees.
Worst funding year since 2019
Over the last 12 months, investors poured money into AI startups, but the rest of the industry foundered.
Venture capital funding for startups in the US fell by around 30% in 2023 compared to 2022, reaching its lowest level since 2019. Globally, VC funding also declined sharply.
New member of OpenAI’s board
Dee Templeton has joined OpenAI's board as a non-voting observer. She is a veteran of 25 years at Microsoft, where she currently serves as Vice President for Technology and Research Partnerships and Operations.
Her role will be to attend OpenAI's board meetings and have access to confidential information as a representative of Microsoft.
