🗞️ News
Reinventing operating systems?
Three former Apple employees have started a new AI startup called Software Applications Incorporated. Their goal is to bring generative AI to desktop computers in a way that "pushes operating systems forward". While at Apple, they previously founded and sold the iOS automation app Workflow to Apple in 2017.
They have raised $6.5 million in funding and plan to build products using AI models like GPT and Llama to enable new types of desktop automation and problem solving.
Perplexity’s online AIs
Perplexity AI has unveiled two new online large language models called "pplx-7b-online" and "pplx-70b-online" that is designed to provide up-to-date information by leveraging live internet data. Unlike offline LLMs, these models can give real-time responses to recent queries by tapping into the latest online sources.
They have been made publicly available via an API, which differentiates them from other popular online LLMs that do not offer this functionality for developers.
Share your synthetic voices
Voicemod allows users to modify their voice to sound like other people or characters. It previously offered over 100 preset voice options. The company has now launched new features that let users create completely custom AI voices from scratch by adjusting various voice parameters like gender, age and tone.
Users can fine-tune their created voices and then share them with the Voicemod community for others to use.
